Sunday Night Brain Dump

Just know that my brain is fried right now and my emotions are all over the place with what God is doing at Five Stones. So here are my random thoughts from the day.
I can’t believe that God has called me to be one of the leaders of this great church.
- God is so blessing our series on the “Storms of Life.” The stories that are emerging are blowing me away with the kindness of God.
- Heard that we had over 25 new families join us for worship today.
- Had a family that is new to the area that has been looking for a church and decided after one service that Five Stones was their new home. Heard that they have been to 8 different churches. Reminds me of how unique Five Stones is in our area.
- Hang Five at Five Stones is becoming one of my favorite new phrases to hear. Just realized that we have close to 50 families taking the Hang Five Challenge with us. If you don’t know about Hang Five, we encourage new families to Hang with us for Five weeks. During those five weeks we have different things in place to help families connect.
- Praying for one of our Discover Factory kids who had a storm come into his life tonight when he broke his arm while playing. Pray for the young man as he will have surgery on Tuesday to have pins put into place.
- Made a last minute correction to my message today after hearing another creative idea from Ralph. So thankful for guys like Ralph that just make me better.
- Had a father visit our first service and was so excited that he went home and got his wife and kids and brought them to the second service.
- Praying for another Five Stones family that just found out about a job loss. Thankful that God spoke into their hearts this morning.
- I think every song that was sung today just drove home the Big Idea that God uses storms to get our attention and to draw us closer to Him.
- My favorite memory of the day was watching our children and youth serving throughout the day.
- Can’t wait to hear about the encounters you have as a church as we go out and engage culture this week. So many people are experiencing a storm right now and they need to be reminded of the Kindness of God.
- Remember , Aslan is on the move!
I look forward to reading your brain dump on Sunday nights. For the first time I feel like I am serving god and helping to lead people to him. I may not be able to play a guitar (although I have asked Heath to let me know if he needs me) sing. or teach a class. However, God show me everyday there is more I can do to lead people to him. Also, one more stat……we have a new volunteer starting next week with us on set up and tear down! God is good!
Thanks for being His faithful servant and allowing Him to speak through you. What a priveledge it is to serve Him at Five Stones.
Thanks for your prayers for our son’s surgery tomorrow. God is in control during the storm and He continues to bless us. He provided a Christian Dr that was in a prayer meeting at his church prior to getting the ER page. Our son broke his left arm, not his right arm and even though it’s a serious injury, it is fixable and recovery is quick. The best part of all my 9 year old is able to see and know God is at work and in control!
Praise Him in the storm!
